Erin and Luke's End of Summer Wedding
Summer, although a mild one, has officially came to an end- but not before Erin and Luke could walk down the isle to say "I Do". This couple stole the last weekend of perfect Indiana weather and this only made their day more beautiful.
Erin and Luke are good family friends. Erin has been my wife's closest friend and they've got to share their biggest moments together; from engagements, pregnancies, becoming homeowners, and now being someone's wife. My wife and I were lucky enough to have Erin stand up with us in the bridal party of our own wedding and my wife was honored to be the Matron of Honor in hers. So being asked to shoot their wedding was a huge compliment and an opportunity that meant a lot to me.
Erin and Luke have large extended families and the joy they mutually shared for the joining of this couple was obvious. Their day started bright and from that early hour on- both families chipped in to make their wedding day go off without a hitch. From Luke's aunt and uncle donating their gorgeous home for the girls to get ready, to dusting off the toolbox to help put signs of wedding directions, all the way to two bridesmaids roadside picking flowers to be sure the centerpieces looked flawless.
This was a wedding with a lot of character that had a lot of meticulous planning and TLC poured into it. There were handmade signs, a home made photo-booth, and creative wedding favors. The bridal party was full of big personalities who meshed so well together. Their love for the bride and groom was so apparent after hearing their heartfelt speeches. And their guests were a ton of fun who kept the dance floor full the entire time.
But the real stars of the show were Luke, Erin, and their daughter, Reese; whose, on September 27th, 2014, lives truly began as a new family of three. This couple has had a true, clear connection ever since I've known them and seeing them exchange vows on this day brought a feeling of happiness to everyone who witnessed it. Together, Luke and Erin have created a life nothing short of the American dream. They have the house, the car, the daughter, and now they share a last name. I could want nothing more for my friends. Congratulations to you both!
